Dawn Apajee

Following her graduation from the London School of Economics, Dawn blazed a trail through the recruitment industry in the UK by running one of the most profitable Temporary Staffing Divisions in London. She moved to the U.S. because of her husband’s career as a professional soccer coach, and worked as an account executive at one of Chicago's leading employment agencies. Among her many achievements is her national recognition as Top Sales Executive for the country in 1999. Dawn brings over 25 years of experience to her current role as owner of City Personnel Inc. where she hires, trains, and manages professional recruiters who share her passion and commitment to staffing. This shared passion is based on developing long-lasting and trusting relationships with both clients and candidates. Dawn lives in Cranston with her husband Deven, who now works for the New England Revolution, and her two children, Danny and Jess.


Meet Allie, our Recruitment Manager. Allie graduated from Kean University in New Jersey with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. Following her relocation to RI in 2011, she registered with City Personnel hoping to find some temporary work. Fortunately it didn't take her long to secure permanent employment on her own. Allie worked in the social work field, where she spent long and worthy hours advocating on behalf of residents and families in a small nursing home. Needing to find her next career opportunity, she reached out again to City Personnel and we soon realized that Allie's super strong skills in cultivating relationships at all levels and her upbeat enthusiastic personality would be a valuable asset to our growing team. When not at work, Allie enjoys working out, spending time with her husband and taking walks with their dog, Rudy. She follows college football and loves watching Notre Dame. "Go Fighting Irish!"


Meet our Recruiter Ashley, a graduate of Johnson and Wales University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Entertainment & Event Management. Ashley is a New Jersey native but fell in love with Rhode Island while she was attending JWU and decided to make it her permanent home.  During school, Ashley worked at a corporate event & marketing company in the Boston area and developed an understanding of building client relationships and working with tight deadlines.  Ashley knows the importance of hard work, dedication, and teamwork.  She has a competitive spirit and a winning attitude.  Ashley loves dogs, Charlestown Beach, the NJ Devils, and anything pasta.

 


Meet Toni Ann, our newest Recruitment Specialist. Toni Ann is from South Florida and she pursued her Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies from Nova South Eastern University and worked for two law firms that specialized in employment and real estate law. She moved to Rhode Island with her now husband and worked for a couple of of years as a Real Estate Sales Specialist. Toni Ann has always had the drive and determination to succeed and a passion for helping others. Her keen sense for developing relationships and determination is what landed her the role as a Recruiter at City Personnel. When not working, she enjoys writing, meditation, yoga, and any activity that involves increasing self awareness.


 

Meet our Account Executive, Jackie. Jackie earned her degree in Communications from California Baptist University. She recently transplanted from the west coast to Rhode Island with her boyfriend and puppy, Molly. Jackie developed recruiting skills in the startup world before landing a sales opportunity at a pacific coast tech firm. She has a passion for driving sales, and thrives on promoting products and services that truly help people on a personal level. This dedication and ambition is what finally led her to City Personnel, where she is able to combine her talents to find new and innovative ways to foster business development. Outside the office, Jackie loves cooking, watching sports, and enjoying a nice glass of wine.


 

Meet Caitlin, our Marketing Administrator. Caitlin has made a career transformation, and went back to school for her bachelor of arts degree in Business Management Economics after spending time flexing her creative muscles in the cosmetology industry. She came to City Personnel looking for ways to capitalize on her salon management and marketing experience. Her creativity shines through in the social media marketing campaigns she runs for City Personnel. She is responsible for generating our original marketing content and is our in-house blog writer. Naturally outgoing, Caitlin runs the front of the office and loves meeting and greeting our candidates. When she’s not busy supporting City Personnel, she can be found spending quality time with her husband and daughter.
